Short version: Sleep Sounds does not require an account. Sleep preferences and night sound records stay on your device, and raw night audio is not saved or uploaded. The app uses advertising, consent, analytics, and attribution services that may process device, app-usage, advertising, and diagnostic data.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the Android application Sleep Sounds: Sleep Tracker (shown on your device as Sleep Sounds) and the website at sstopfuture.com.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at mo0715695@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Sleep Sounds does not require you to create an account and does not ask you to provide your name, phone number, postal address, or precise location.
The app stores the following information locally on your device so its features can work:
- Selected sounds, mixer settings, timer settings, fade-out settings, theme, language, and onboarding status.
- Playback history, sleep ratings, and sleep streak information if you use those features.
- Night recording sessions and detected-event metadata, such as event type, time, duration, confidence, and sound level. Raw audio is not stored.
- Rewarded-feature status, including the permanently unlocked fifth sound and a saved quick-mix preset.
These local sleep and night-record details are not intentionally uploaded to us or included in analytics event parameters.
Advertising and analytics services integrated into the app may automatically process information such as:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate a general location.
- Device and app information, including device model, operating-system version, language, app version, and identifiers such as the Android advertising ID or app-set ID where available.
- App and ad interactions, including app launch, ad request, ad view, ad click, rewarded-ad completion, and related timestamps.
- Diagnostics, performance information, install source, and campaign-attribution information.
3. Internet and network use
Sleep Sounds requests network access to load and display advertisements, request privacy choices where required, measure app and advertising performance, provide attribution, prevent fraud, and send analytics events. Core sound playback and locally stored records can remain available without a network connection, but advertisements and related services require connectivity.
4. App permissions
Sleep Sounds may request or use these Android permissions and capabilities:
- Foreground service / media playback: used to keep audio playback available while the app is in the background.
- Microphone / microphone foreground service: used only after you start a night recording, including while the screen is locked, to identify possible snoring, talking, or other noticeable sounds.
- Notifications: used where supported by Android to show playback controls and the persistent notification required while a night recording is active.
- Wake lock: used to help maintain audio playback while the device is resting.
- Internet and network access: used for advertisements, consent management, analytics, attribution, diagnostics, and fraud prevention.
- Advertising ID: may be used by advertising and attribution services where available and permitted by your device settings and privacy choices.
The app does not request camera, contacts, or precise-location permission.
5. Night sound recording
The microphone is accessed only after you actively start a night recording. Audio samples are analyzed in memory on your device to estimate noticeable sound events. Raw audio is not saved, uploaded, or shared. The app stores only the resulting session and event metadata locally on your device.
You can stop recording at any time. You can also deny or revoke microphone permission in Android settings; doing so disables night recording but does not prevent you from using the sleep-sound features.
6. How information is used
Local app data is used to remember your settings, operate playback and timers, show sleep and night records, restore rewarded benefits, and provide your saved quick mix.
Advertising and analytics data is used to deliver and measure ads, grant rewarded features, understand app performance and feature use, attribute installs or campaigns, diagnose problems, report advertising revenue, and prevent fraud or abuse.
7. Advertising, analytics, and third-party services
The app integrates the following service providers. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies:
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) for app-open, interstitial, banner, native, and rewarded advertising.
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent and privacy choices where required.
- Google Firebase Analytics for analytics and advertising-impression measurement.
- AppsFlyer for install attribution, campaign measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention.
- DataEye for app-event and advertising-performance analytics.
For more information, review Google’s Privacy Policy, Firebase Privacy and Security, and the AppsFlyer Services Privacy Policy.
8. Sharing and sale of information
We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising and analytics information may be disclosed to the providers listed above so they can deliver their services. Depending on where you live, some advertising-related disclosures may be legally considered “sharing,” targeted advertising, or a “sale” even when no money is exchanged.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse or fraud, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of the app, subject to applicable law.
9. Data retention and deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app’s storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Third-party providers retain information according to their own policies and our service configurations.
If you email us for support, we may retain your email and the information you choose to provide so we can respond to your request.
10. Your choices and rights
- You can deny or revoke microphone and notification permissions in Android settings.
- Where required, the app presents privacy choices through Google UMP. You can also manage or delete the advertising ID in Android settings.
- You can delete local app data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app.
- Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. Contact us to make a request.
11. Children’s privacy
Sleep Sounds is not specifically directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly ask children to provide directly identifying personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address it.
12. Security and international processing
Local data is stored using standard Android app storage mechanisms, and network data may be encrypted in transit by the relevant providers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Third-party providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their policies and applicable safeguards.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
