The app may store the following information locally on your device so the app can function:
- Selected sounds, mixer settings, timer settings, fade-out settings, theme, language, and onboarding status.
- Playback history, sleep ratings, and sleep streak information if you use those features.
This information is stored on your device and is not sent to us by the app.
3. Internet and network use
Based on the current app implementation, Drift White Noise is designed as an offline app and does not request the Android INTERNET permission. The app does not upload your sleep history, sound choices, ratings, or preferences to our servers.
4. App permissions
Drift White Noise may request or use limited Android permissions for app functionality:
- Foreground service / media playback: used to keep audio playback available while the app is in the background.
- Notifications: used where supported by Android to show playback controls or related playback notifications.
- Wake lock: used to help maintain audio playback while the device is resting.
The app does not request location, camera, contacts, microphone, or internet permissions.
5. How we use information
Local app data is used only to provide app features, such as remembering your settings, showing sleep-related history, and managing playback behavior.
We do not use your app data for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information collected by the app. Because the app is designed not to send your local app data to us, we do not share that app data with third parties.
7. Data retention and deletion
Local app data remains on your device unless you delete it. You can remove local data by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app.
If you email us for support, we may retain your email and the information you choose to provide so we can respond to your request.

Drift White Noise is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us by email, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
